At Destiny's Leaders, we believe that every child deserves the opportunity to learn and grow. Our summer camp program is designed to provide young people with high-quality financial literacy education, life skills training and opportunities for personal growth and development.
This summer, we are dedicated to empowering young people with the skills and knowledge they need to succeed in today's ever-changing world. Our summer camp program is designed to provide children with high-quality financial literacy education, life skills training and opportunities for personal growth and development.
In addition to financial literacy, our summer camp program also includes arts, communication and other fun and educational activities that will help young people build their confidence, capability, and self-reliance.
About Destiny's Leaders
Letetia Brooks-Smith is the CEO of Destiny’s Leaders and the founder and Registerd Nurse in Collin County. She is a passionate wife and mother, an author (Finding Identity: A Healing Journey), motivational speaker, spiritual adviser, SANE-RN and mentor to many! Born and raised in Lafayette, La., the 3rd of 4 children, Letetia grew up in impoverished conditions and was often the subject of rejection and ridicule by her peers. Desiring a better opportunity for herself, she made the decision to move to Dallas, TX at just 19 yrs. old, where she met several mentors who helped to guide her on her path to success.
The death of her son was a pivotal moment in her life! Since then Letetia has become very passionate about mentoring, teaching and inspiring others . She assist others in reaching their highest potential and teaching on the importance of leadership in every area through character building, education, spiritual enrichment, etc. Her favorite phrase is YOU WERE BORN TO LEAD!

Growing up in the Dallas/Fort Worth area often does not provide much college and career support to children in low- or struggling-income households. Many young people have no plans for their future. I see many children in these areas lose their lives, end up in jail or miss the opportunity to maximize their potential because they did not have a vision or the resources to achieve something greater. There is a college and career equity issue in these areas when I was young and still, it remains today. There is so much more that can be done in terms of leadership skills, college and career exposure as well as dedicated hands-on support for success.
